CDTC Online Programs

Bouncing Back

A court-assignable support program that teaches how your stress system works and gives you simple tools to calm it — the steadying floor under the rest of your work. Three tiers. Your court assigns one. Complete it at your own pace, on any device.

A man sits on his front porch taking a slow, steadying breath, the stress and self-care skills from Bouncing Back.

Steady yourself first. Everything else gets easier.

Old wounds and heavy stress can keep your body stuck on high alert — and when the alarm is always ringing, it's hard to think clearly, sleep, or finish what the court asked. Bouncing Back teaches how your body's stress system works and gives you simple, practical tools to calm it down. It's our lighter support program — the steadying floor under the rest of your work — and you earn a certificate the court can verify.

Bouncing Back comes from CDTC Online, the online-programs arm of the Court Diagnostic & Treatment Center — a nonprofit and the premier provider of forensic mental health services in Northwest Ohio, serving courts across 13 counties. If your paperwork says a trauma and self-care class, this is that program.

Common questions
Answers before you enroll
Is this therapy?
No. Bouncing Back is an education program that teaches practical skills for managing stress. It isn't counseling or treatment and doesn't replace them.
Can I take this along with another program?
Yes. It's built to support the rest of your work — many participants take it alongside Better Thinking or Anger Management, because a steadier body makes every other program easier to finish.
Is the final exam hard?
The final exam checks that you understood the program — the short knowledge checks after every lesson prepare you for it. If you did the lessons, you're ready.
What does my court see?
Your court can verify that you completed the program and passed the final exam. Your written work stays private.

If things feel heavy right now: if it's ever too much, or you have thoughts of hurting yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), any time. And if you're not safe at home, the National Domestic Violence Hotline — 1-800-799-7233 — is free and confidential.
