For Courts & Probation

Court-Ordered Online Programs for Ohio Courts

Affordable, court-assignable behavioral-change programs for misdemeanor and non-violent justice-involved adults — self-paced, fully online, finishing with a certificate the court can verify. Participants pay directly. No facility, scheduling, or administrative burden on the court.

Court-assignable, evidence-aligned, verifiable.

Every program is self-paced, completed entirely online on any device — including phones — and finishes with a proctorless final exam that gates a completion certificate the court can verify.

CDTC Online is the online-programs arm of the Court Diagnostic & Treatment Center — a nonprofit and the premier provider of forensic mental health services in Northwest Ohio, serving the U.S. District Court–Northern District of Ohio, the Courts of Common Pleas, and municipal courts across 13 counties. The certificate carries that institutional lineage.

The clinical foundation
Three goals of correctional rehabilitation

Recidivism Reduction

Lowering the risk of reoffending by targeting the changeable drivers of criminal behavior and strengthening motivation to change.

Improved Function

Building the concrete skills a person needs to function more effectively: communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.

Quality of Life

Strengthening resilience, stability, and well-being so a person can engage with the change work, complete it, and sustain it afterward.

Better Thinking

Recidivism Reduction
The thinking patterns behind offending — justification, blame-shifting, and the thinking errors that lead to poor decisions.

Better Choices

Recidivism + Function
Decision-making and problem-solving under pressure — pausing, weighing options, and choosing the better path.

Speaking Up

Improved Function
Communicating and handling conflict assertively, without aggression or withdrawal.

Bouncing Back

Quality of Life
Understanding and steadying stress and trauma responses through coping and self-care. A lighter support program by design.

How to assign: assign the program that fits the behavior and the tier that fits assessed risk (ORAS-CT). Tier 1 — low risk — $49 (~8h); Tier 2 — moderate — $79 (~16h); Tier 3 — high/very high — $149 (~21–32h by program). Tiers are cumulative and self-contained: a participant completes one program at the assigned tier. Anger Management is also offered — contact us for assignment details.

The court receives a verifiable certificate for each completion, a consistent evidence-aligned curriculum across all programs and tiers, and an affordable option participants pay for directly — at no cost to the court.
